An Instagram post is where rumours of a bubblegum pink iPhone 13 first surfaced. In February, artist and Instagram user Ali Sayed Ali posted a picture of a highly “aesthetic” pink iPhone surrounded by what appeared to be other pink Apple accessories. Ali Sayed Ali specializes in 3D models and renders (mainly of iPhones) (AirPods, AirPods Max and an iPhone case). Should we begin to notice these colours more frequently? asked the caption.
The same image was then published on May 5 by the Peng Phones Twitter account without attribution, describing it as a “Rose Pink” iPhone 13 Pro Max render and hinting at a December 2021 release date for the colour option. Later tweets from the same user mention the availability of “Pink,” “Rose Pink,” and even “Rosegold Pink” iPhones in November 2021. The tweet received over 40,000 likes and more than 30,000 retweets, which increased the number of times people searched for “pink iPhone 13.” Since then, the image has been taken down from the tweet for copyright violations.
